Fleshripper is a wicked-looking sword that was wielded by the hobgoblin leader of the Serrated Tongue. He nearly killed Quintus Aurelius Ignatius with it.

Kham val'Abebi picked up the blade and has been cursed with it ever since. He cannot bear to be apart from it for more than an hour or so before he begins to experience intense cravings that drive him mad. Kham hates the thing for many reasons, not the least of which is that it's heavy, weighing nearly ten pounds.

Fleshripper's history is murky, but it has something to do with battling Reavers. Recently, Elabac put Kham on a path to remove the blade...by making it stronger. He inserted one of Jarel's gemstone into the pommel, increasing Fleshripper's power tenfold. Now Kham can barely resist using it in combat, and when he does draw the blade, it turns him into a killing machine.

The Emerald Society, of which Kham is a member, has been strangely silent on the subject of the sword and how to remove it, despite his repeated inquiries.
