Quintus Aurelius Ignatius summons Vlad Martell and IlmarÄ— Galen for a mission to retrieve special cargo from Leviathan cultists. Bijoux and Cal eventually join as well. It turns out the mission is more than just retrieval...it's a rescue mission to save Kham val'Abebi, who was on board as a "blackpowder specialist."

All of Player Characters end up on the Shrike, a ship crewed by a group of pirates and scallywags, including First Mate Baldric, Crazy Bob, and Edward. The ship is attacked and Bezyli is petrified, sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

With Baldric as the new captain, he sends the PCs into the cultist's lair. There, they face off against a manifestation of the Leviathan itself and manage to blow it to smithereens using the smuggled cannon. Just as the cultists surround them, the PCs are saved by the Altherian navy.

For their heroic efforts, Baldric and his crew were all pardoned. As reformed pirates, they immediately make for Freeport to find their fortune. The PCs gained an important ally and the frequent services of the Shrike whenever they need it.
