Senator Okpara val'Inares has a problem: he lost his royal seal. Okpara makes a discreet inquiry to Quintus Aurelius Ignatius, who recommends his companions for the job.

Okpara puts them on the trail of none other than the infamous rug merchant, Aljandros. Aljandros lies and says he has no idea what they're talking about, but a quick conversation with Dardanus indicates Aljandros had the seal.

It turns out Aljandros ended up selling it, or trying to--first to Melosia, then Iphicles the Fat. Somewhere in between, the seal is stolen by the Cafelan Cartel led by Raven.

But the Cartel is ambushed by Senator Janthi val'Sheem's men. The Player Characters discover Janthi and Okpara's bodyguard, Jaleon, exchanging the seal. But the heroes are overwhelmed and Jaleon gets away...

Janthi considers killing the PCs until he recognizes the Yellow Sign on some of their clothing . He has second thoughts, and instead heals them, guaranteeing advocates of his own innocence. Vlad kills Janthi in an alley and retrieves the seal.

And Aljandros? Aljandros left town for Freeport, where a man can disappear.
