• Description: Thralen is a tall, broad-shouldered man with long, curly ebony hair. He usually wears sea green clothing of the finest material. It's impossible to talk to Thralen and not understand you're dealing with a val'Ossan.

Thralen treads a fine line between Milandir and Freeport, having noble ties to both. The possibility that his nephew, Emric, might ascend to the Sea Lord's throne, thereby uniting the two nations, was enough to have Milton Drac kidnap the boy. When the ordeal was over, Thralen decided to take Emric back to Milandir.

But that was just a cover story. Thralen didn't feel Emric was safe in Milandir either, so he took the boy to a secret resort village known as Vestalanium in Coryan. But the madness of the Brotherhood of the Yellow Sign pursued them even there, leading to the entire resort village crumbling into chaos. With Emric kidnapped by a byakhee, Thralen locked himself in Kham val'Abebi's room and used the val's own pistols against him. Fortunately, Sebastian Arnyal was able to incapacitate Kham before he did any permanent damage.
