An agent of Akali Vervain, Tomas was dispatched to the Sulfur Marsh in search of an ancient Valossan city. His quest: to discover suitable artifacts that Canceri could use in the coming war.
What Tomas discovered was more than he could ever have imagined. The Valossan treasure trove was enough to keep him busy for a decade. There was just one problem: a Black Talon ss'ressen tribe lived there as well.
At first, Tomas merely drove them off, but their attacks eventually became such a threat that he had difficulty keeping up the quantity of his undead minions. So Tomas decided to mix things up by spreading false treasure maps around Sulfur Marsh in the hopes of getting more adventurers to attack the ss'ressen tribe. It worked quite well, until Calactyte showed up.
Actually, a veritable army descended on Tomas. He was ready, and if it had not been for Bijoux's influence over Onara's flora, he would have easily defeated them. Trapped in a pile of brambles, Tomas was forced to duel with Kham val'Abebi face-to-face. He eventually knocked Kham unconscious and blasted Beldin Soulforge at point-blank range with a cone of cold. The dwarf jumped in the path of the blast, saving Sebastian Arnyal's life and sacrificing his own. But something woke Kham up, and he plunged Fleshripper through Tomas' back, ending his life.
