Elorii are the elves of Arcanis. There are several subraces, include the Marokene, and Osalikene. Each is tied to a particular element with the addition of another subrace, Life Elorii or Ardekenes. The Elorii were created by four very powerful elementals in conjunction with a "life spirit" called Belisarda. They originally imbued a dead orc with this power, which also explains why Elorii have fangs. These elemental spirits are worshipped by the Elorii as gods; they despise humanity because four of the human gods "absorbed" the four Elemental Lords, leaving only Belisarda. They eventually rebelled against their creators.

Elorii have certain attributes that distinguish them from the other races. Beyond having pointy ears and exceptional senses, elorii do not sleep. They only meditate, which means they do not dream. When an elorii does dream, such as IlmarÄ— Galen's vision of the child with a shark's maw, it is considered portentious.

There are a limited number of souls of elorii souls on Onara. Thus, when an elorii dies, her soul will be born in the next elorii child (presumably, nine months before the mother gives birth). Thus, elorii births are extremely rare in times of peace and much more common in times of war.

Some elorii, IlmarÄ— included, can remember these past lives. IlmarÄ—'s past life as KildarÄ— gave her insight in the war against the ilHuan.
